The Raiders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jaylin Simpson fell into the Round 6 slot. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Reaching for McCormick left real value on the table behind him. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
