The Chiefs let Hurst fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Chiefs were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Getting Hurst where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The Tyler Warren deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
