Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Suamataia should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Kingsley Suamataia had no business being available in pick 88, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Lee lower, and that gap is the story.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 JC Latham
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a building block for the line, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick41 Rnd2 Nate Wiggins
They robbed the room for Nate Wiggins here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick58 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper is a better player than the 58th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick88 Rnd3 Kingsley Suamataia
Kingsley Suamataia at the 88th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick91 Rnd3 Calen Bullock
Calen Bullock at slot 91 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick126 Rnd4 Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo at pick 126 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick169 Rnd5 Marist Liufau
Marist Liufau at pick No. 169 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick202 Rnd6 Logan Lee
Logan Lee in No. 202 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick219 Rnd6 Evan Williams
Evan Williams in pick 219 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jalen Coker
They took Jalen Coker at par in slot 245, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick255 Rnd7 Sam Hartman
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Sam Hartman. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
