A passer of the future in Penix Jr., and a B, for the Vikings.

The Vikings spent the pick that matters most on Michael Penix Jr., and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. On value alone, Green makes the weekend a net positive. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
