They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Michael Penix Jr. is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Lee reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, with Michael Penix Jr. leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
