The Packers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick No. 124 on Dont'e Thornton Jr. a full 59 spots early. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
