The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Christian Mahogany fell into pick No. 225.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Powers-Johnson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
