The Patriots robbed the room for Watson. Final grade: A-. Whoever sat across the table from the Patriots should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Landing Watson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
They will answer for taking cornerback early while interior defensive lineman went begging. The veteran additions, Chase Young chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, J.J. McCarthy and all.
