After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
