When a board-topper like Ricky Pearsall slides to pick 137, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

Michael Penix Jr. is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
