Maye is the plan now, and the Patriots grade out a A.

Start where it matters. The Patriots took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Just about everything broke right, and the A follows.

The Sainristil value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with interior defensive lineman and safety open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Drake Maye and all.
