The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Getting Stover where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The cost of the Coker reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
