Call it larceny. Jalon Walker sat on the board until the 50th pick, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Watson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
