The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Vaki at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
