The Patriots let Skattebo fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

Call it larceny. Cam Skattebo sat on the board until the 220th pick, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Tyler Smith leading the way.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
