Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall

The Buccaneers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. You can hear the double-takes from here. The Buccaneers took Jack Pyburn at Round 7, Pick 13, roughly 54 spots before his name belonged.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Royer value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Tight end was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Joshua Josephs
In Round 1, Pick 15 they get a double-digit-sack hope, reach and all. A real need, handled.
Pick46
Rnd2
CJ Allen
A tidy bit of business in the Round 2 slot, where CJ Allen graded well above the range. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick77
Rnd3
Tyreak Sapp
Tyreak Sapp in pick 77 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick116
Rnd4
Joe Royer
Joe Royer slid further than he should have, and No. 116 is lovely value for the tight end. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick153
Rnd5
Mason Reiger
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Mason Reiger. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick193
Rnd6
Harrison Wallace III
Harrison Wallace III in slot 193 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick229
Rnd7
Jack Pyburn
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jack Pyburn in pick No. 229, miles early. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
