If confidence were a draft strategy, the Patriots would have aced it. Jordan White at slot 247 is 44 spots clear of where he belonged. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Rodriguez steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

They will answer for taking linebacker early while edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots went begging.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
