Draft Grade — Titans

Good, not great, for the Titans: B-. The RJ Oben selection is the head-turner. The Titans reached 49 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Williams. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Travis Hunter
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Travis Hunter. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick35
Rnd2
Jaxson Dart
By-the-book stuff, Jaxson Dart at pick No. 35 squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick103
Rnd4
Savion Williams
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Savion Williams at Round 4, Pick 1. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick120
Rnd4
Emery Jones Jr.
Emery Jones Jr. at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick141
Rnd5
Kurtis Rourke
No edge and no loss on Kurtis Rourke in the 141st overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick167
Rnd5
RJ Harvey
RJ Harvey in slot 167 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick178
Rnd6
RJ Oben
They reached into another round for RJ Oben, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick188
Rnd6
CJ West
CJ West in pick No. 188 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
