For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Lions walked out of the weekend still thin at cornerback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They are betting Bond proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Getting Grant where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
