Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Chiefs let Henderson fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Call it larceny. TreVeyon Henderson sat on the board until pick No. 95, and the Chiefs did not need to be asked twice. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. If Parr pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Colston Loveland
In slot 31 they get a security blanket over the middle at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick63 Rnd2 Cameron Williams
Cameron Williams in No. 63 is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick66 Rnd3 Jaylin Noel
They did well to land Jaylin Noel in pick No. 66, just ahead of his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick95 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
They will replay TreVeyon Henderson at the 95th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
Pick133 Rnd4 Jeffrey Bassa
Jeffrey Bassa in Round 4, Pick 31 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick226 Rnd7 Akili Arnold
Akili Arnold at pick 226 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick251 Rnd7 Jeremy Crawshaw
A market-rate specialist, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jeremy Crawshaw. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick257 Rnd7 Logan Parr
Logan Parr at the 257th pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
