The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Johnson: B.

Somebody in the 148th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Tez Johnson, the No. 100 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Turner pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
