A franchise passer in Williams headlines a B weekend for the Patriots.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Johnson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
