A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a C+ weekend for the Patriots.

The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

The Milton pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. If Gore Jr. pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
