They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The Smith-Wade steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Spending an early pick on TE-EDGE with edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The cost of the Van Pran reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
