The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

However the rest shakes out, Allen at that price is a win they earned. If Harrell pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
