Best value of the weekend goes to the Patriots for Higgins: A-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jay Higgins tumbling to the Patriots in the 217th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.

In the 6th overall pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
