The Patriots drew a line under the quarterback search with Maye: B+.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

Tampa falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
