Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Mason Curtis, the No. 170 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 189.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Hampton has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
