A sensible, unshowy class lands the Patriots a B-.

The Tanner Koziol selection is the head-turner. The Patriots reached 45 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. The Barton value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The veteran additions, Riq Woolen chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
