The Patriots fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Patriots started one anyway for Eric Gentry, 61 picks ahead of schedule. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The Davis pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Patriots indulged a want in Davis while a need in interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots stayed open.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
