The Patriots did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Patriots would have aced it. Jordan Hall at Round 7, Pick 10 is 64 spots clear of where he belonged.
Chambliss at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. The Talanoa Hufanga deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
