The steal of the weekend belongs to the Patriots and Taaffe: B+.

The board owed the Patriots one, and it paid up: Michael Taaffe, the No. 46 name on the board, sitting there at slot 96 like a gift left on the doorstep. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Mills reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
