The Patriots bet big and early on Bryce Foster, 81 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher and running back open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Klare falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
