The war room fell hard for Jalen Thompson, and it showed at the Round 7 slot: 57 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Royer. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
