Moore Jr. should have been long gone. The Patriots pounced, and earned a B-. Somebody in the 97th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while DeAndre Moore Jr., the No. 68 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Barham reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
