A sensible, unshowy class lands the Patriots a B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Patriots did exactly that with Vincent Anthony Jr. in the 128th overall pick.

Getting Green where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
