The Patriots did not so much draft Derrick Moore as overpay for him, 49 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Davis. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
