Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Patriots spent Round 6, Pick 17 on Jack Kelly, a name the board had a full 64 spots lower.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. That Payne pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
