The war room fell hard for Jack Kelly, and it showed at the 212th pick: 41 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

They banked enough surplus on Wheatley to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
