When a board-topper like Drew Allar slides to the 199th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not.

The Zuhn III pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Patriots indulged a want in Abney II while a need in edge rusher and tight end stayed open.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
