The Patriots won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: A.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Patriots did exactly that with Jalen Travis in pick No. 218. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.

Harvey at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
