The trade table was a mismatch, and the Patriots were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

Johnson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If one pick saves this weekend, it is McAlister.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Adding Maxx Crosby by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
