A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Patriots get a C+.

Nobody had Reggie Grimes II this high, and it is not close. The Patriots reached 214 spots to get him at the Round 6 slot. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

Barton at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The Burke pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

In No. 4 they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
