The real work happened on the phones. The Patriots fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Little to argue with here, and the A says so.

That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
