The tape said wait; the Patriots did not. Miles Frazier went at slot 217, a good 127 picks before the board was ready. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. On value alone, Nwankpa makes the weekend a net positive.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The veteran additions, Joe Thuney chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Will Campbell and all.
