The Patriots got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the C.

The Patriots torched the value chart for Jalon Walker, taking him 30 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The final tally is a middling C.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Getting Delp where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
