Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Jay Higgins, the No. 134 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 219th overall pick. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Every board in the league had Walker lower, and that gap is the story. The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
