The Patriots finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Tagovailoa has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Getting McGlothern where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
