The phones sank the Patriots this weekend: D.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Squirrel White, 48 picks early at slot 194. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Hancock pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
