The Patriots let Cook fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

Call it larceny. Brady Cook sat on the board until pick No. 194, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

They are betting Roberts proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

Adding Troy Fautanu by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
